The 2004 Perth Bikers' Charity Ride is being held as always on the first Saturday of December.
This year is the 29th Anniversary and the date is Saturday December 4.

It will once again leave at 11 am "SHARP" from Lathlain Park, which is situated on Roberts Road, off Orrong Road. People start gathering around 8 am to secure the position in the ride that they want and it's best to get there as early as possible, as after 9.30 am things start to get hectic with some people parking, others getting ready to go and the limited badge and t-shirt sales. There is always some form of entertainment such as a band playing, as well as refreshments on sale. Many people also use it as a time to catch up with friends they haven't seen since the previous year.

The ride will again proceed up Orrong Road and onto the Graham Farmer Freeway to go through the tunnel and join the Mitchell Freeway all the way to Joondalup. From the Freeway the ride proceeds onto Arena Joondalup to meet the Salvos and hand over the donations.

There are only TWO very important pre-requisites to joining the ride that every year gives so much to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal. Remember, this is one event that "ALL" proceeds go to the intended charity, not part proceeds.

1.    Bring some form of donation for the Salvos, such as money, clothes, blankets, non-perishable foods,
or the most popular item which is a good quality toy for the kids.
2.    Be a part of the actual parade, from the start to the finish, on a motorcycle.

FOLLOWING IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE!

So as to prevent confusion as well as danger to any rider on the event, it is a condition of entry to the Arena Joondalup that no motorcycle shall enter the oval until after the lead riders of the police and Santa and his elves, followed by the actual parade. Any motorcycles attempting to enter the Arena that are not part of the parade following Santa, will be refused entry until all other motorcycles have entered.

This years ride will be followed by a free poker run for all Charity Ride participants, which will travel for approximately 140 km to a country venue where there will be food and entertainment, plus a free bike show for all those poker run participants who wish to enter their motorcycle. There will also be accommodation available for people wishing to stay, details of which will be available soon.

The Bikes Unlimited Charity Ride Sub-Committee and the Perth motorcycle clubs who assist us on the day, look forward to seeing all the bikers' of Perth and everywhere else on the day at the one, the only, the truly original Perth Bikers' Charity Ride. Many have tried, but none can compare to this greatest of all rides in Western Australia. Without all of you this day could not be the magnificent success it is every year.

Look forward to seeing everybody there for a great day once again,

Bandit...
